National Verification Bodies

Foreign Medical Graduate Verification

Doctors and nurses trained abroad must have their qualifications verified against recognised international registries before practice. Use these links to validate foreign degrees, FMGE screening and equivalence status.

Why this matters for NABH

NABH requires primary-source verification of every credential. For international graduates, verify that the school appears in the World Directory of Medical Schools, that the foreign degree holds AIU equivalence, and that the candidate holds a valid NMC FMGE pass certificate and state registration.

Note: AYUSH / Indian System of Medicine — Foreign Qualifications

Practitioners of Ayurveda, Unani, Siddha, Yoga and Homoeopathy trained outside India must be registered on the relevant central register before they can practice. Verify their foreign degree holds equivalence from the National Commission for Indian System of Medicine (NCISM) or the Central Council of Homeopathy (CCH), and that they appear on the corresponding Central Register maintained by the Ministry of AYUSH.

  • Confirm recognition of the foreign AYUSH institution by NCISM/CCH
  • Verify degree/diploma equivalence before appointment
  • Check valid registration on the Central Register (NCISM / CCH)
  • Review state-level AYUSH registration for the practising location
